I Have a Song That Jesus Gave Me
I have a song that Jesus gave me,
It was sent from Heav’n above;
There never was a sweeter melody,
’Tis the melody of love.
Refrain
In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody with Heaven’s harmony;
In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody of love.
I love the Christ who died on Calv’ry,
For He washed my sins away;
He put within my heart a melody,
And I know it’s there to stay.
Refrain
’Twill be my endless theme in glory,
With the angels I will sing;
’Twill be a song with glorious harmony,
When the courts of Heaven ring.
Refrain

What joyful faces three! One can’t sing that song without a smile. Were you singing this song then or what were you singing? LOL!
Vee, This was taken at a wedding and we were singing for our dinner and I think the song was “Going to the Chapel”
A song in our hearts…always!
Another church oldie that we used to sing when I was a kid. I still know every verse by heart. I love the pic, and am glad you gave the story behind it—-I knew it would be funny!
I love that song!!! Thanks for sharing.
