We were sizzling in Washington this past Sunday and our Seattle Sounders were hot hot hot on the field and beat L.A. Galaxy 4-0. I was happy to see that Beckham was back from London.

There were 60,000 people at the game and when we scored the noise was deafening! In other news…

The apples are falling off the tree and I’m slow in getting inspired to do anything with them.

My hydrangeas have really advanced to a deeper color. They are so nice to cut and have in fresh arrangements in the house.
We have cooled down around here today and it’s nice to be more comfortable while working around the house.
While I’m typing I’m watching the U.S.A. vs. Canada Women’s soccer semi-final at the Olympics. What a game! It’s a toss up on who is going to win. I’ll let you find out who does…
Tuesday my 89 year old mom will be having hip replacement surgery because she has been experiencing severe pain constantly for several months now. Could you pray for Nadia for good results from the replacement and a good recovery from the surgery. We are hoping for pain free days in her future. Pray for my dad, Moisi, too. He will be home alone for a while and he’s not used to that.
Glad your Sounders won! It’s been hot here, too, but we have had rain for the last two days and that has cooled things off…thankfully. Will certainly be praying for your mom and dad. My dad had hip surgery and it was a long recovery. So, I know how to pray…hope hers is easier! And I loved the cheerleader pictures…who knew you were a rah!rah! girl?!?! BTW, I am glad you are still around! I enjoy your blog and you are one of my faithful commenters! 🙂
I don’t even know what to think of your hydrangea…GLORY, that is beautiful. Will be asking God to bring your sweet parents to mind, to know how to pray. Everyone I know around here seems to be up and going better with new hips than any other joint. May it be so for her. Yay for your Sounders!
Yea it’s hot…and you we definitely saw a game that added just that extra touch of heat…
America won…but there is talk about the refs…just like usual.
Enjoy the win and we will keep cheering our favorite teams on.
Ellen, I sure will pray for your mom and dad. May they know God’s presence with them every moment, and give them strength for the days ahead.
Your hydrangeas are so beautiful. Most of mine are so pathetic this year. Maybe the drought?
I’ll be praying for your mom.
Oh, I’d love those apples! Applesauce or dried apples 🙂
God’s wisdom to the surgeons and then awesome healing to your mom! Wow are your hydrangeas ever gorgeous!!
The hydrangea color is amazingly beautiful! I thought of you many times while we too were watching the women’s soccer….wondered if you were yelling at your tv like me :0 Yes, I will be thinking and praying for your mother and father in the coming days…..may all go well!!
Yes, it’s been hot, hot , hot around here too..Great photos and I will pray for your parents..
Praying for your mom, Ellen! I have a bit of an idea what she will be facing, since my dad is just recovering from hip surgery.
You’ve had your fill of soccer excitement this weekend! What a game today.
Of course we’ll pray for your mum and for your dad too. I do hope to surgery was a success and that she will be up moving around, pain free, soon. Take care and God bless, xoxox
I will keep your Mom in my prayers, Ellen! I hope her surgery goes well and that she will soon be free from pain.
I have been enjoying the Olympics now that I’m back home. They are so accomplished and inspirational!
