To God Be The Glory
To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
Refrain
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He has done.
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
Refrain
Great things He has taught us, great things He has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.
Refrain

Living in a land with freedoms is wonderful but the freedom that Christ gives us when we are pardoned from our sins is even more priceless. Thank you Lord!
Oh you sure have your priorities straight Ellen! Yes, thank you Lord!
This reminded me of the happy years I spent in Salvation Army Sundayschool! This is their song! Great when sung with a brass band playing along! Really rouses my spirits.
What a wonderful display. There is so much that is good. I LOVE that song! Hope your weekend is going splendidly!
We sang this a lot in my younger years, but somehow it seems to have disappeared from congregational singing these days. It’s a great hymn to sing while walking along country roads. At the top o’ my voice!
Happy 4th to you and your entire family 🙂 Have fun and be safe 🙂
Amen! And Happy 4th to you too, Ellen!
We sing this a lot at church. I love the words.
