Luke 23: 44-46 ~ “It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour, because the sun was obscured; and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.” Having said thus, He breathed His last.”
I’m so happy we know the rest of the crucifixion story and that Jesus rose from the dead and lives, not just lives, but rules and reigns at the right hand of God and can rule and reign in our own hearts! Looking forward to enjoying the whole weekend with preparations and celebrations! Blessings…
Ellen, that is such a fitting photo for Good Friday.. . It is easy to allow the mind to do the pictures with that lonely tree.
Blessings on your family time!
The contemplation of the ‘whole story’ could fill a person’s thoughts and life and still we would never exhaust the significance of that singular event.
Happy Easter, Ellen!
Talk about a rollercoaster ride for the disciples, His family and those following—amen to being thankful that we know “the rest of the story”.
Enjoy your cooking, baking and celebrating!
Blessings to you and yours, Ellen! May you have a refreshing time celebrating the Ultimate victory the Lord has wrought for us.
Yes, the whole story gives every reason to rejoice! And rejoice always!
