Inside a Tulip…

A Personal Photo Challenge
Donna’s personal Photo challenge this month is Close-Up/Macro. I just happened to take some photos of the inside of the tulips my daughter and I bought at Roozengaarde Tulip Farms in Mt. Vernon, Washington and decided to join in the fun. The Skagit Valley Tulip festival is on during the month of April.
P1050021We were truly in awe of the details of God’s creation in these tulips. The color blue inside this one was such a sweet surprise. My daughter pointed it out to me and I grabbed my camera. We bought 4 bunches of tulips and got a 5th bunch free, 5 bunches for $20.
I have to also add one I took of my apple blossoms yesterday at dusk.
I used my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 on the intelligent auto setting.
Hope to get around and see everyone’s photos between mowing the lawn and barbecuing today.
About Ellen am a wife, mother, baba (grandmother) and a loyal friend. Jesus is my King and my hope is in my future with Him.

  1. This macro challenge is showing me how much detail I miss! Aren’t these tulips so pretty…inside and out?! Our Creator has provided beauty in many places.

    Great shots!

  2. I love your feature of the tulip centers. Aren’t those starburst designs incredible? That plum and white tulip is my favorite, I think. And the color of the tender apple blossoms is so pretty. Wonderful job on the challenge, and I appreciate you joining in on the fun! I hope you will continue to participate on a regular basis.

  3. So beautiful!!! I can’t believe how far ahead your Spring is compared to over here. You’ve inspired me to learn more about my camera – I need to practice some of these techniques!

  4. Your tulip photos are incredible Ellen!!!
But I’ve always had a special love for apple blossoms and this bunch is superb!
Come Autumn your tree should be laden with a great crop!
Good to see such lovely photos from your Lumix – I have one too but mine is a DMC FS3 so yours is probably the newest one!!!

  5. Just wow! The tulip photos are very special now I’m inspired to bring some of mine inside and see what I can do. Glad you joined the challenge this month.

  6. Really pretty! I chose to photograph tulips, too. I think the centers are the prettiest parts and each one is a little piece of God’s art. Thanks for sharing with us!
