Cool Breezes…

IMGP0575Things are cooling down and the breezes are lovely. When pulling a few weeds today around the lavender bushes the scent was wonderful.

Time will tell if I am able to steal away to some lavender farms this year later in July.

Today I’m pulling out the 4th of July decorations and doing the rest of the shopping for our menu. Dear will be smoking the meat and our guests will be bringing along some dishes to share. What are your plans for the 4th?

About Ellen am a wife, mother, baba (grandmother) and a loyal friend. Jesus is my King and my hope is in my future with Him.

  1. Hmmm I’m planning a lovely beach day with the Wed group (even though it will be Thursday!) – we’ll toast you as we’re enjoying the sun, sand and ocean breezes. Happy 4th!

  2. Isn’t the cool breeze a relief after that short heat wave? We’re just not used to that sort of weather here on the coast! I’ll be working tomorrow, having already had my holiday, but I’ll be wishing all of you south of the border a very Happy Fourth!

  3. A friend with family in Idaho said it has been 100 or so up there. CRAZY. We have had our house open with no AC for 3 days. That is even CRAZIER!!!!! Love your lavender. I”m hoping I didn’t kill mine. They were huge and we trimmed them way back and they did not come back very well this Spring. Happy 4th!

  4. These are the best of days with cooler winds and lovel lavendar scented air! We will be going to our local parade and watching the fireworks with friends. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers and watermelon. And, no rain! 🙂 Happy 4th to you and Dear!!

  5. Hope you enjoy your fourth. Having just returned from the beach, we are just going to hang out and grill. It’s suppose to be very wet here, so no outside activities for us!

  6. Hooray for cool breezes! I’m loving the lavender and green theme of this post. Enjoy your Fourth of July. We’ll be enjoying a quiet little celebratory feast of hot dogs and all the trimmings and later there will be lots of noise in the neighborhood from the illegal fireworks which were bought in the next town, where fireworks are legal!

  7. It sounds like you’ll have a grand Fourth, with enough sunshine and enough cool breezes to make it very comfortable too!

  8. Happy 4th of July to you and yours, Ellen. I’m enjoying the warmer weather – and it’s supposed to return on the weekend. Isn’t the sunshine wonderful? I hope you have a great time with family and friends.
