Sky Watch ~

Taken from the 101 Fwy. in Thousand Oaks, California. Just because I’m driving in the fast lane doesn’t mean I have to miss taking a photo of this beautiful sky. Too bad my windshield wasn’t a bit cleaner. After this photo I was driving for another hour and a half to get to my destination. It wasn’t really that far away but I had to deal with some typical L.A. traffic.

  1. Nice photo, though it makes me uneasy if you were really driving at the same time. I’m in South Carolina so the sun had aparently been down a bit longer before the eclipse here. We looked at it often between about 9:00 and 11:00 and it looked quite different. We tried taking pictures, but with limited success.

  2. I’ve done this, too…take a photo out the windshield. Sometimes you just can’t pull over, yet you don’t want to miss the splendor. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Another moving vehicle photographer… I love it! Although, I prefer when my wife drives and I get to squirm all over the place next to her, taking lots of experimental shots.

    Kudos.

  4. Ellen!!! You took that WHILE driving?!?!?!?

Honestly I would have knock you on your head being so dangerous……

    But I’ll let ya go…. cause that’s a nice one you’ve captured πŸ™‚
NO MORE SNAPPING BEHIND THE DRIVER’S SEAT PLEASE!!!

  5. I could swear I see a huge face, eyes closed, lips together, it’s ominous though. I almost don’t want to look!
I saw the comments about driving – who are we kidding – we ALL have done it πŸ™‚
